Teak benches for outdoors and indoors can be some of the most versatile pieces of furniture available. Of course, teak benches for outdoors function wonderfully as garden benches, offering unmatched beauty and durability that will last for generations. They are traditionally used in backyards, memory gardens, poolside, and lakeside or on the patio or deck. But they can also be used in many more ways.

Teak benches for outdoors can serve to add elegance to waiting areas for churches, restaurants and other establishments. They look great on walkways and paths leading to schools, universities and office buildings. Their durability makes them great additions to playgrounds and park settings as well.

For outdoor dining environments, teak benches can serve as a stylish option next to teak dining tables. They are especially useful when used with teak extension tables. In this case, many people will use their teak bench in their yard or near the firepit most of the time and bring it over to the table when the table is fully extended and additional seating is needed. While teak stacking chairs or teak folding chairs are great options for this, either a traditional teak benches or backless teak benches are also great for this purpose. Teak benches have also been used for many indoor applications. We have placed our teak benches in churches lobbies, university hallways and waiting rooms in doctors’ offices. When teak furniture is used indoors, it will retain its original honey brown color much longer then when used as outdoor furniture. When outdoors, it will typically fade to a beautiful silver patina in about a year.
The beauty and comfort of well-made teak benches allow them to be used with or without cushions. Most people prefer the classic look of the teak bench. Some people prefer a softer look and will add a bench cushion. Often, this is chosen to coordinate with other patio furniture items such as outdoor teak deep seating sofas or chairs.
Regardless of the application, classic teak benches for outdoors or indoors are always a great choice.
